Hello there! I’m Miranda, your friendly Barn Manager at Sugar Creek Bible Camp, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share some exciting news that will really “stirrup” your interest! We have two new horse opportunities.
First up, we have the Saddle and Soul: Adult Horse Retreat, where you can reignite your passion for riding and connect with nature in a whole new way.
And for our younger equestrian enthusiasts, we’re launching the Homeschool Horse Camp, a perfect chance for kids to saddle up and learn in a fun, supportive environment. So, giddy up and get ready for an unforgettable experience at Sugar Creek!
Saddle and Soul: Adult Horse Camp
Saddle and Soul is the perfect retreat for adults eager to trot down the path of equestrian knowledge and basic riding skills! Participants will saddle up for an unforgettable experience, learning how to groom and saddle their equine companions, mastering essential riding techniques in the arena, and even embarking on a scenic trail ride—all while soaking in the beauty of God’s creation.
This year’s theme, “Stable Ground,” draws inspiration from Psalm 62:6-8, reminding us that God is our refuge, defense, salvation, and rock—truly a firm foundation! With a dash of horse-related crafts and games, there’s something for every horse enthusiast. When not in the barn, participants can kick back and enjoy the delightful offerings of Sugar Creek. So, whether you’re a seasoned rider or just looking to “rein in” some new skills, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!
Homeschool Horse Camp
We are excited to introduce the Homeschool Horse Camp, a wonderful opportunity for homeschool students to earn physical education credits while enjoying the delightful experience of working with horses!
Over the course of five days, students will immerse themselves in the joys of grooming, riding, and bonding with these magnificent animals, all of which provide a fantastic full-body workout that nurtures both body and mind. Each day includes a nutritious lunch and plenty of time spent in the barn, along with exciting opportunities to participate in various camp activities. This camp is designed to be fun, engaging, and enriching, creating lasting memories and valuable skills for every young participant.
